Don't you just hate it when you can't find something!

Well, yet AGAIN, it's been a while since my last post. I really must try to get back to posting on a regular basis!  Anyways, this morning I knew which briefs I wanted to wear today. Something reminded me about them and decided 'Come Hell or High Water' I was going to wear them. However, I just couldn't find 'em! I knew they where there somewhere, lol. This made me empty most of my collection on to the bed to hunt them down. So here's a pic of the aftermath! 

In doing this, it's now made me think I need a 'Sort Out', and this ain't all of them either, lol. So if you read this 'little old' blog of mine, keep a watch out as I'm gonna' go sort out my collection and post a few more organised pics of just exactly what I've got :0)   Oh by the way, these were the undies that I eventually tracked down! 

Kewl Briefs

Not so long ago I offered to do a favour for a friend of mine concerning some artwork! I'm glad to say that he was more than happy with the results and in return he offered to send me a small gift! Well, guess what the gift was :0) Yep, you got it a 'kewl' pair of briefs!

So my friend, here you are a piccy of me wearing 'em!

These are the first pair of 'pouch' front briefs I've had and yes, I'm a bit slow to own any lol... and WOW, I gotta say, they are so comfortable! I reckon some day all mens underwear will be constructed like this and I will definitely be purchasing some more in the future. I have my eye on the Obviously range as they look well good :0)

Anyway's, sorry I haven't been around lately, to share pics or thoughts, I've kind'a been busy with various things. Maybe I'll let you know one day ;0)

Weekend wear.

Until now I've not had a chance to post this weekend, so here's what I've been wearing so far... I say so far, because knowing me I'll put something fresh on later.

I woke up Saturday morning and knew I wasn't going to be doing anything exciting, not like last week! So I rolled out of bed and laid my hands on a Jock. An old favorite of mine, a CK Pro Tech. I think that's what it was called when available. Most people just refer to it as the blue banded CK jock now.

It's a few years old and a bit small for me. I knew when I purchased it I should have had the large. Still, it's pretty comfy to wear and sure as hell holds everything in the right places.

Today (Sunday) I kind'a felt in the same frame of mind, so again I decided on a Jock. You've seen these before but in Red. So here they are again the CK Tech Active jock strap. Probably the most comfortable brand and style of jocks I own.

Jockey branded briefs! Yes, as I've said before they are pretty 'old school' and I know some of you will be saying to yourselves, 'not my type of thing'. However I love 'em and I know someone else who does and so here they are, just for you :0). You should know who you are, lol. Well, at least I hope you do!

That Friday feeling!

Well it's Friday again, where does the week go to? I've gone back to basic colours today, my faves, CK Steel Microfiber Briefs. Only this time bright orange or as CK like to refer to it as, Nectarine!

I gotta say, in my opinion I think this range of briefs from CK are probably one of their best ever. So comfy to wear. The only thing I would suggest to improve them, would be to continue the name on the waistband all the way around to the back.

It's not good for all us 'waistband' spotters out there as there's nothing on the back to denote what they are. It's only us 'briefs spotters' that would know which ones they are, mind you, I suppose that's what it's all about for us. Just by seeing the metal-look waistband above a pair of jeans, we know exactly what a guy is wearing, well the brand and range at least. Whether they're wearing briefs or trunks is another matter entirely!

Thought I'd take a break from basic colours today and wear these.

They are from Gregg Homme and are labeled the '3G Dynamo Briefs'. Have no idea what the 3G refers to, maybe they were thinking of the iPhone at the time!

The cut is a bit strange for my liking, I think they'd come under the 'hipster' style as I keep thinking they've slipped down too much and keep trying to hitch them up. So no waistband to show off above your jeans here guys!

However the material is the best part of them, a mix between polyester and spandex which makes 'em feel super comfy next to the skin and very stretchy. So because of that, I kind'a like 'em! Plus the pattern reminds me of those long gone days of paisley Y-Fronts, remember those. I loved 'em and still own a few!

Ok, so I kind'a ran out of time to be able to post on here yesterday, typical!

So what was I wearing. Well I thought it was a bit of a PINK day yesterday and no I don't mean music wise. I sorted out a pair of trusty pink Y-Fronts. These are from the recently re-issued, Retro Y-Front sports brief edition. Yeh, I know these are very 'old school' for some of you guys out there and they're 100% cotton, where as, I'm way more prone to wear briefs that include lycra to make 'em far more stretchy! But there's just something about Jockey Y Fronts that I can't quite put my finger on! Maybe it's because I grew up in the era where the majority of underwear worn by lads/men was from the Jockey brand.

Only the other day I noticed a good friend of mine was also wearing retro Y-Fronts, (I spotted the waistband) but the much deeper coloured editions. Eventually I worked out he was wearing the green briefs with black trim and yes I did get to see him wearing them and WOW, did he look GOOD in em! Anyways, as far as I knew the deeper colours were only available in the States. Typically here in the UK we always suffer from not being able to buy the same in our stores as over in the States. He did tell me where he got them from, but I forgot :0( So if your reading this and I know he's looked once or twice because he's told me :0). Let me know where you got them from again!

I can remember some GREAT pairs of briefs we used to be able to buy from the Jockey brand. One such briefs I can never get out of my mind were bright yellow, everything, including the trim and they were of some sort of stretchier material than cotton, plus they were mesh. I had about 3 pairs of them when I was younger around ten or twelve and I wore them as much as I could. I think I wore them so many times that they became thread bare.

I wish Jockey would catch up with the other mens underwear brands and bring back some of the older styles just like these retro Y's. Maybe they plan too, maybe this is just one of many they plan too re-release! Well, if you do Jockey, remember don't just manufacture them in cotton, bring back the stretchy material too or at least a substitute for what you used before. Lycra or something like it! I know it's possible as they already use 'Stretch Cotton' and 'Microfibers' including a Mesh and even Nylon in some of their current styles!

Not only did I start this blog to share my passion for all things 'briefs' but also to chat and exchange ideas and thoughts with other guys like myself. In the short space of time I've started this, I've chatted with some real nice blokes. One of them being the owner of a GREAT blog called 'undies 101' over the big pond, in the States.

It's 'undies 101' that's inspired me to start this thing off. If you've found my blog from anywhere else, then please do your self a favor and click on one of links to the site, as I'm positive you won't be disappointed. He has a huge collection of underwear like myself and looks mighty fine in each and every one of them. Not to mention we've been communicating for various reasons over the past few weeks and I have to say he comes across as an exceptionally all round nice guy. So 'heads' up to you 'undies 101' and thanks for the inspiration!

If, like me, you take the time to read 'undies 101's past posts you'll see that he's been doing something well funky and decided not to repeat wear any pairs of underwear until he'd run out of underwear! How kewl is that :0) You'll have to click on one of the links to his site to see how he got on. As I'm not going to spoil the fun and great pics of him doing the task, it simply wouldn't be fair lol

Today's a Jock day.

I looked at my underwear collection and thought what shall I wear today. Nothing kind'a shouted at me this morning. Then I happened to glance over at a pile of washing sitting there waiting to be either ironed or put away. At the top of the pile as normal... underwear and the first few, some jocks, with a CK Tech Active jock strap directly on top. Being red it kind of shone out like a beacon, so that was it, my choice had been made!

I adore this Jock from the Tech Active range, not just for the comfort, but for the cut and style. I would never have thought that a Jock Strap can have various 'cuts ' and 'styles' to them. Some jocks I've purchased have been way too uncomfortable, due to either not having enough room up front because the pouch has been cut wrong or the waistband has been, well, just wrong.

Don't ask me how a piece of material or elastic can be wrapped around your waist 'wrong', but believe me it can. Not so with these babies! They are so comfy and 'give', in all the right places. Not to mention the RED is just, WOW. I also have the briefs version of the Tech Active range and they are exactly the same.

Another part of the jock strap some manufacturers seem to get wrong, is the straps at the back. They make 'em way too thin! For a jock to be comfortable and worn all day, the straps need to be a decent thickness, so they don't 'pinch ya butt'. On these, they have the perfect straps of one inch wide made from a real soft elastic plus the pouch at the front is made from a great breathable mesh. All in all a great jock strap, one of the best, if not 'The Best'.

I wear jock straps as much as I wear briefs, especially under suits. How about the rest of you 'undies guys', any jock straps for you? Do you wear them as I do under your suit? I feel great wearing a jock under a suit all day, it's like going commando, which I hate, but having what's up front all properly supported. Not to mention it keeps me damn horny all day!

I often look at guys in suits and wonder what they're wearing underneath, 99.9% of the time it's boxers of some description. As I can see the outline of the legs of the boxer-briefs or from the back the excess bulging of the material from saggy, baggy boxers!

My choice of underwear today has been some of my favorites from Calvin Klein, the 'Steel' Microfiber briefs range. I have these in many colours, but today I chose lime green. I'm not saying that I felt in a very lime green mood lol, but I looked at all the colours and decided this was going to be my choice.

These briefs from Calvin Klein are super stretchy and soooooo comfy to wear that you definitely forget your wearing them and the choice of colours you can find them in is great! CK also do the same briefs in cotton which as you can imagine I also have and they are kewl too. However, if you ever have to make a choice between the two, make sure you choose the Microfiber version. Believe me, you will not be disappointed!

The summer time here in the UK has been pretty bad again this year in fact it's becoming the norm for us. This year we've had may be one week I can remember that was good and that was way back in April. I can't think of one occasion this year it's been too hot to sleep and I've had to break out the fan and keep it on all night.

Well, that's the UK for you!

But, even though it's been pretty poor this year, last week we had a mini hot spell. So warm, we could even sit out in the garden and soak up the last few rays before the bloody winter sets in. We had been told by various weather people that we'd be having this continue for a week or two. Ha, guess what? As I sit here typing this, it's been dull and not very warm for the past few days... they got that wrong, YET again!

Just like the forecast they gave us at the beginning of the year, informing us that we'd be having one of the best summers for a long time and WOW, did they 'nacker' that one up. So many people on our coastal areas were gearing up for a good season, only to be beaten down.

Anyways back to the reason for my post. We had a few good days and guess what? I took advantage of them and decided to sit outside in my underwear, briefs of course!

My question to all you 'Undie' guys is, do you do the same? Do you just whip your trousers off, or for all the blokes who live over the big pond 'whip your pants off' (to us Brits, pants is also what we call our underwear, but i'm sure you already know that) and catch the rays in your briefs or indeed anything else you may be wearing under your trousers.

In my own garden I'm fine with doing this, well at certain times. Wish I had the nerve to do it else where lol.

To be honest, it's only the same as wearing swimming trunks, but a lot of prudish people seem to think 'speedo' style swimmers are not the sort of thing any bloke should be wearing outside in public... idiots!

Lets face it, even a stupid theme park here in the UK called Alton Towers has banned blokes from wearing Speedo style swim wear. How lame can you get. Let's not get me started on that subject. No, i'll leave that for another post!

Is it all just a load of 'PANTS'!

Saturday evening I was out with friends and I decided to come clean and show them my new blog.... do you ever wish you hadn't done something, but by the time you realise this, it's way too late!

I took the plunge, got my trusty iPhone out (yes, I'm also a big Apple fan) and dialed up my 'blog' page, thinking what's the reactions gonna be, as all three of them are also 'Undie aficionados'. Well, as I said a few lines up, I wish I hadn't. To say they took the 'pee' is an understatement.

The reactions ranged from, no comment, to no comment at all, too the 'haven't I got anything else better to do with my time". Oh and the main word banded around was, 'obsession'. Well, yeh, I have used the word 'obsession' in my profile description, but when someone else uses the word, it kind'a sounds like it's all very wrong!

Well, guess what, I don't care lol. I love my 'obsession' :0) and yeh, if anyone wants to refer to it as that, then that's fine... I couldn't give a 'stuff'!

I know there are quite a few guys out there the same and OK, maybe we are 'few and far between', but I'm sure those guys will agree... It's not all just a load of PANTS, there's way more to it than that! Not to mention, surfing around the net lately, I've found a few guys who are JUST as 'obsessed' with underwear as me if not more. Which I personally think is way cool.

Oh, and just to confirm my 'obsession' lol, I do own over a thousand pairs of briefs and jocks lol and yeh at some point your going to see 'em all!

Todays briefs

Well, here we are three days into my new blog and I'm already behind with 'What I'm wearing today'. I dunno, not a good start is it lol.

Well, I have a good excuse, mainly because I had a pretty good Friday evening/night and Saturday day time! But we'll leave it at that and say no more :0)

Above is a pic of what I've been wearing today, a pair of the earlier Blue Emporio Armani hip briefs and although I have to admit, the marketing shots of David Beckham wearing the current style are pretty fantastic, (I have to own up, to being a bit of a fan :0) ) I much prefer this style. I own two pairs, one in blue and one in white, so at some point in time you'll get to see those as well.

Yesterday, Saturday that is, I was wearing another of my many 'AussieBums' that I own. A pair of the 'Flaunt' range, in white, (see above) again a fantastic pair of briefs with another wicked waistband. So comfortable and dead sexy to look at.

Today I've been wearing these, some great briefs from my favorite underwear label 'AussieBum'. These are the 'Star Brief Vega'. I'm so taken by these and the waistband is just GREAT! Try hiding that under your trousers lol.

My only bug bear is the piping around the leg openings. Why is the piping hanging off the material and not wrapped around it like normal underwear, you know, where it covers the front and then wraps around to the inside. It kind of restricts the stretchiness off them, and I don't know about the rest of you 'Undies' guys, but I like my briefs stretchy.

Anyways. it's only a minor bug bear as nearly every piece of AussieBum underwear (well the Briefs, lol) are HOT. As much as I love my CK's and other brands, AussieBum have done something no other brand has been able to do. Make mens underwear a major statement and above all make 'em fun and desirable. Making you want to come back for more.

We all know the major fashion labels use hot models for their underwear... but they all stand there doing typical male fashion poses that the so called professional photographer seems to think is the best thing since sliced bread. Not AussieBum! They make 'em look real, fun and feel that we can all look like that in our AB's :0)

Keep it up AB and I think a lot of the big fashion houses should take a leaf out of your book at how mens underwear can be marketed, especially the photography!

But one question... when are we going to get the 'Star Jock and the 'Lightning Jock'? Come on AussieBum, all us jock wearers are waiting with baited breath!

So why Briefs and when did it all start!

Well to answer this question 'briefly' lol, just take a look at this pic I found on the net. Oh and if this pic is copyrighted in any way or you happen to be the person who snapped it, lucky person, then just let me know and i'll remove it! Mind you, it would be a shame to remove it, as I think it kind of says everything about why many 'undies' guys an myself feel the same about 'em!

I think my 'obsession' or whatever you want to call it started way back when I was around the age of seven, maybe even younger. All I remember back then was constantly flipping through the home catalogue pages until I came to the mens underwear section and then just staring at the guys in their briefs and thinking WOW!

Luckily when I was younger and growing up virtually every guy wore briefs, well in my school anyway. I can vividly remember waiting for 'PE' lessons (That's Physical Education here in the UK) and taking peeks of what colours of briefs my fellow class mates were wearing. As most of the lads wore basic Y fronts or A type briefs, then the major difference was the colours. There were some great colours back then, Yellows, Blues, Purples all sorts not to mention great patterns and nylon!. Some were the same colour all over and some had contrasting waist and leg bands. Either in white or a different colour. Blimey, all the memories and visions are flowing back to me as I sit here writing this :0)

I've thought about writing one of these 'bloggs' for ages now. Being content to just sit here and read other guys 'bloggs' about their underwear. But now i've started I don't think I'll be able to stop!

I apologize now for my writing skills, as I'm no journalist and the most I've ever written has been essays for school and collage work. So don't 'shoot' me lol.
